This is a research-based vocabulary textbook that gives high-intermediate to advanced students the advantage they need to succeed in academic environments. Through excerpts from college texts and lots of exercises, you can study the Academic Word List – the most frequently used words in academic texts.

The book is divided into seven units, each on a specific subject. Within each unit, there are four chapters – three main chapters plus a Strategy Practice chapter that presents additional techniques for building academic vocabulary.
